I am trained in a variety of modalities such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing which provides a large tool box of approaches to fit with individual person's needs.
I primarily work with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population and those in the community such as fellow interpreters, parents of Deaf children, CODA's, and others. I am open to working with anyone who feels I might be a good fit for them.
I have been working and living in the Deaf Community for over 25 years and am available to work with you to work through your life challenges and live your best life. I will work with you for payment as I am currently setting up to accept insurance as listed and a few others. Please don't let cost be a barrier to reaching out to me.

MA, LPC, CCHt
Hi! My name is Lauren, I have been working as a counselor for over 11 years in South Carolina and have experience working with a wide variety of needs. I have extensive experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment issues. I work primarily with adults and older teens.
I believe that each client is unique in their life experiences and deserves personalized treatment. My philosophy is that each person responds differently to life circumstances with the goal to keep themselves safe and cope using the resources that they have. I can offer a new understanding of yourself and different ways of coping that work for you now.
If you are looking for a safe, compassionate, and accepting environment to learn more about yourself and overcome obstacles in your life to live fully and authentically please reach out for a free 15 minute consult.

My clients present with a variety of issues, from substance abuse/addiction to mood disorders, difficulty with anger management, life cycle developmental traumas and loss. They struggle with direction in life, stability, self-care awareness and practice, and relationship struggles. Often clients present with one or a mix of the above issues but without a clear goal, a sense of positive direction or knowledge of healthy coping skills and healthy lifestyle and how to apply these to insight, change and growth. Their goals are often problem-centered, and we change the direction in time to solution-focused and solution maintenance.
My speciality is knowledge and experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma recovery, addiction rehabilitation, and systems family therapy. I appreciate the client as an individual and respect his/her own story, experiences, and perspectives, strengths and fragility. Problems are solved collaboratively, developing strength, confidence and support.
If you find yourself struggling with a crisis that leaves you feeling directionless, disillusioned and unheard, in emotional distress, or you're re-experiencing a cycle of hitting the same obstacles in different form and getting knocked down again and again, let's look at things together and not just get back on your feet but rise with brand new strength.
